• Duration: Permanent position
• Shift: Combination of 8- and 24-hour shifts on a 7-week rotating schedule
• Hours/week: Approximately 170 hours
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• License/Certs: BC/BE Neonatologist; open to new Fellow graduates already BC in Pediatrics
• Experience: Prior neonatology experience preferred, but new graduates considered

What You’ll Do

• Provide in-house coverage for a Level-III NICU with approximately 60 beds
• Collaborate with a team of physicians, residents, and nurse practitioners
• Manage neonatal cases including typical admissions, high acuity patients, and specialized care (excluding ECMO and heart surgery)
• Participate in team-based quality improvement initiatives
• Support hospital-wide deliveries (~6,000 annually) and admissions
• Assist in patient management and clinician oversight
• Contribute to research opportunities affiliated with the KU School of Medicine - Wichita

What You Need

• Active medical license in Kansas or eligible for licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology
• Strong commitment to quality patient care and teamwork
• Open to new fellowship graduates (BC in Pediatrics required)
• Ability to work collaboratively within a high-functioning team
