The Buyer will work closely with engineering, project management, expediting, suppliers and other internal stakeholders while managing multiple projects and procurement packages simultaneously.ResponsibilitiesManage procurement activities from purchase requisition (PR) through purchase order (PO) issuance and administrationDevelop, issue and manage RFQs, RFPs and RFIsPerform commercial bid evaluations, bid tabulations and supplier comparisonsSupport commercial negotiations and supplier selectionProcure major engineered equipment packages including compression equipment, turbines, skids and electrical buildingsCreate, maintain and administer purchase orders using SAP MMManage PO documentation, acknowledgements, changes, status and invoice exceptionsCoordinate with engineers, project managers, expediters, suppliers, Legal, Risk and other stakeholdersPartner with expediting following PO award to support equipment delivery and project schedule requirementsManage supplier qualification/prequalification activitiesMaintain accurate purchasing records and required documentation in SAPManage multiple project procurement priorities while meeting commercial and delivery requirementsBuild strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliersQualifications3+ years of purchasing/procurement experience within oil & gas, midstream or a closely related energy environmentExperience purchasing engineered equipment and/or major equipment packagesStrong hands-on SAP purchasing / SAP MM experience; must be comfortable working independently in SAP with minimal trainingExperience converting PRs to POs and administering purchase ordersExperience with RFQs, RFPs, RFIs and commercial bid evaluationsExperience working directly with engineering and project management stakeholdersUnderstanding of commercial purchasing terms and IncotermsStrong problem-solving, organization, communication and stakeholder-management skillsAbility to independently manage procurement activities across multiple concurrent projectsPreferred Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or related fieldExperience with pipeline/midstream project procurementPower BI experienceCommercial negotiation experience**All applicants must be able to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship of any type
